Drink Free Beer for Life

Cody Christman

Since 1997, Wynkoop Brewing Co has been crowning a Beer Champion every year. In 2009, the award finally went to a Denver local, Cody Christman, who has rightfully been rewarded free beer for life at Wynkoop. This is a longer cut interview from the Brew Crew TV’s Wynkoop episode, with Cody relishing his year as champion and talking about what it takes to become a Beer Drinker of the Year!

This year’s competition is to be held February 27th at 2:00 @ the Wynkoop Brewery.  All hilarity aside, someone will leave the event a very, very happy man.

The 2010 Beer Drinker of the Year, Bill Howell

After a barrage of beer trivia, beer facts, some polite influence peddling and several beers, the illustrious judges reached the decision to award Alaska’s Bill Howell 2010 Beer Drinker of the Year.  He is now entitled to drink for free at Wynkoop Brewery in Denver.  The latest news is that he’s currently packing, and headed somewhere in the “lower 48″. . . we think we know where he’s headed.

This guy has to be the coolest man alive. I may have severely damaged myself in the first year of ever flowing beer. Kudos to Cody on his victory and to his liver. Prost.

  2. Bill Howell says:

Nice website. Looking forward to when you guys come to Alaska to interview me!

    Cheers,

    Bill
